August 2010 Model of the Month Posted: August 14, 2010
Posted by Webmaster in : Club News , trackbackAt our last meeting, we voted in favor of having 5 truck loads (roughly 13 yards each) of gravel brought in for our drive. The contract cost of $1500 includes spreading and grading. The work is expected to commence within the next two weeks and the cost will be drawn from the club’s Certificate of Deposit.
There will be a night fly at the field this coming Saturday, August 21, beginning at 8 PM for all who enjoy flying during the evening time and have well-lit aircraft.
We have been asked to participate in another RC Air Show at the Westheimer airport here in Norman on Saturday, October 9th. Last year’s event proved to be very successful even with the high winds later that afternoon. Maybe this year we’ll have ideal conditions for an even bigger turn out!
Our Model of the Month award for August went to Sean Atteberry for his Ultra Stick.
