Don’t forget about our meeting at the field this Wednesday beginning at 6:30 PM unless the weather forces us to meet at the OU Aviation classroom at 7:00 PM instead. The forecast for this afternoon has changed to a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 78. South wind between 7 and 10 mph.
For safety considerations, please keep in mind that we may need to postpone the meeting if the likelihood of severe weather exists. At 3:45 PM radar was showing a developing line of scattered storms in west central Oklahoma moving east northeast so keep a close eye on weather conditions this evening and on our web site for the latest updates.

Float Fly at Jerry Short’s this Saturday Posted: July 7, 2011

The location for the float fly this Saturday at 1:30 PM is at 2466 CR 1250 in Blanchard. Note that Blanchard road 70th is the same as CR 1250 and changes names when you cross County Line Road one mile west of highway 76. The gate to enter for the float fly is approximately 1/2 mile west of their house, or 1.8 miles west of highway 76. Also note that Sandrock road and 340th St are now called 70th. The latest forecast for Saturday calls for mostly sunny skies and hot with a high near 103. Not as windy (as previously forecast) with east wind 7 to 10 mph becoming south.
