Posted by Webmaster in : Club News , add a commentWe wish to thank Robert O’Conner and son Casey for painting the Transmitter impound shelf and back board and also the “kitchen” area structure that was replaced last year. They did a really great job! Also, Robert provided us with the needed pieces of steel to fabricate our channel/spred spektrum pin coordination board. Jerry Church is working on the board and hopes to have it finished soon. Also, thanks to Joe Dudzik for donating (4) plastic lawn chairs for us to use at the field.
I happened by the Jim Traw Field on Monday the 23rd and Pete Sinclair has returned from the west coast with a heli. He and a couple of gentlemen from the SW OKC heli club were there and one was “strutting his stuff”. He turned his heli every way but loose.

Posted by Webmaster in : Club News , add a commentWe wish to thank Don Farris for producing the “All Season Flying” cards for us. I have placed several in the “mail box” at our Jim Traw Field for those members who have flown or plan to participate in the FUN of flying at least 1 time each month until our Christmas Party. At that time we will give each of those who did fly and witnessed a patch to put on a hat or jacket that “brags” that you accomplished the task.
For those who have flown since Jan. 1st, the honor system is in place to date the card and have a member sign it for you. I have several more in my possession and can pass them on if needed. We will have them at our February meeting.
Have fun at the field.
