Posted by Webmaster in : Club News , add a commentThe Oklahoma Veterans Center recently invited us to participate in their Family Day event on Saturday, September 17th. There will be a karaoke band, hot dogs and hamburgers, and an anticipated attendance of around 600 visitors! It looks like a great opportunity to show off all our aircraft and flying skills from both land and water, although it does fall on the same day as our upcoming Fun Fly. We have tentatively accepted the invitation but would really like to hear from you as soon as possible to make sure that this venue change also meets with your approval.
On a similar note, we also have a confirmed date to present the RC Air Show at the Aviation Festival at Max Westheimer Airport on Saturday, October 15th in Norman. The previous shows were very popular with the visitors so we’re looking forward to having another big hit this year, especially if we have ideal weather conditions!
Our August Model of the Month award went to T.J. Alberter (center) for his Piper Cub.

Posted by Webmaster in : Club News , add a commentJust goes to show that even the hot and gusty conditions, typical of Oklahoma’s weather, couldn’t keep the CORCS from coming out August 20th to the Veterans Center and making the most of the day. There were plenty of tasty hot dogs, cold drinks, good friends, and good conversation that afternoon including some rather exciting landings that would have challenged the most experienced pilots!
